ABOUT DSA

Dave Stiefvater, Van DeWitt, and Halston Rhodes created the DirtStar Army in 2004 to become a Pro level team dedicated to the evolution of our sport. They wanted to help the mountain board community showcase the rider's abilities in any way they could.

Through event support and organization, Video and DVD production, apparel, and rider education we continue to help expose the sport to the world. We do this because we know we can inspire more riders to create more teams, more crews, more companies until our community finally has a scene much like other action sports. DirtStar launched a FREE L2R Guide to help these new teams and crews safely hold there own Learn 2 Ride events.

We believe that this grass roots training program is one of the best ways to get the public involved in mountainboarding. We have seen an explosion of new riders in Utah thanks to this program and we know you will too.

What should DirtStars Do?
Choose to live by the following DSA ideals.
The DSA ideals are meant as guidelines only. These are not rules. We believe in being the best we can be, but everyone makes mistakes.
"Live, Ride,Thrive!"
Every single day eat, breath, sleep success on and off your board.

"Always have fun."
If your not having fun you're doing it WRONG!

"Ride! Ride! Ride!"
Ride "no less" than 7 hrs a week (weather / season permitting)
Keep in mind, off season's help heal, but full timers have skills!

"Support the ATB community."
Strive to help our all terrain board community grow & evolve.
Help other riders in you local area become better riders.
Volunteer at events and/or gatherings.
Do what it takes to make it happen for everyone not just DSA!

"Be an ambassador for the sport."
Positively promote the sport and your sponsors.
Share the sport with potential riders, businesses, spectators, fans, and the public.

Both in life and on the dirt...Fall down 7 times, GET UP 8
!

How to I get sponsored? (FAQ's)

All DSA pro riders have been riding competitively for at least three years, or have the skills to make up for it. Riders are expected to uphold the DSA ideals, get involved in their local communities, and support the sport. You can use our L2R program to make your own crew. Ride, dig, promote, educate, and have a blast! When the time comes to sponsor you, WE'LL FIND YOU.
